SWEETNESS IN SWEAT
Sow your seed,
always, on a fertile soil
Do not be afraid of getting your hands
soiled
Despise not labour
and cease not to toil
Let work boil your
blood and your food boiled
There is sweet in
every drop of sweat
With a calming effect
of a work cloth that is wet
Strive for your own
bread and others’ do not covet
Whether by tilling
the earth or creating words from alphabets
Dear friend, I challenge
you to task your brain
And from mental work
do not ever refrain
Allow not your potentials
to go down the drain
For you’ve got all
that is required for life’s gain
The reward of
sweating is sweeter than honey
It gratifies the
labourer with satisfaction and money
It sweetens each
night’s sleep and gladdens every morning
And brightens our
path in life’s weary and dreary journey
